But I am Le Tired...

Alright. So I was going to put up an essay about SorryEverybody.Com. It was going to be the last in the Improper Response to the Democratic Process/Democratic Irresponsibility vein. I had most of the essay written out, a full two and a half pages in my word processor, single spaced. I was about to go back and add a few links to the part that singled out some classic examples. Like the guy who calls 59,422,689 people idiots, but still seems rather confused as to who those people are. And he's calling us idiots (I think)?

It was a pretty good essay. It was all about how shameful it is that they're apologizing for democracy. And how their failure to support the democratic process, even to the point of apologizing for American democracy, betrays American democracy and is therefore un-American. All of which is true. But it's never going to be posted. Why? No, the dog didn't eat it. All he does is sleep. Nor did it get lost in a computer crash—I use a Mac, so those kinds of things don't happen to me. Actually, it is still sitting there in my word processor, completely in tact. I just got tired of it. I could go into all this stuff about this and that, about poor sportsmanship, complaining, failure to support the democracy they ascribe to, yaddda yadda yadda, bla bla bla, etc. etc. etc. But I don't feel like it anymore. Election's over, Bush and the Republicans won the strongest victory since, ironically, Bush's father, the economy is picking up, jobs are increasing, the future is looking bright, end of story.

Instead of a huge long essay, I'm just going to quote two people.

First, Pastor Anthony. I showed him SorryEverybody.Com, and he couldn't believe it.

Pastor: Whaaaaaaaaaaat?!?!
Me: Yep.
Pastor: They're complaining?!?!?!
Pastor: Yep.
Pastor: Oh, get over it! Stop acting like a bunch of crybabies and deal with it!

Second my sister. Let me just copy to you a link that she still has on her AIM buddy profile:

HAHAHAHAHA y'all suck. Get over it.

"Get over it." I couldn't have said it better myself. And I'm not going to try. So no more about democratic poor sportsmanship; that's nothing new, and it's not going to change.

Pretty soon, however, be looking for an essay on Doctor James Dobson. Let me just put it this way: It won't be favorable to the man who thinks he can speak for all of Evangelical Christianity. It's time for us as Christians to take a critical look at our (supposed) leadership and send the clear message that we don't like the way they're representing us.
